Milan-based studio Officina Armare Design has unveiled its latest concept, the 13.25m/43ft luxury day cruiser A43 inspired by the athletic looks of the Lamborghini Centenario Roadster.
The idea behind the A43 concept is combining a traditional speedboat with the sleek, strong characteristics and high performance that you would expect from a modern supercar. As a result the whole concept was inspired by the Lamborghini cars since they are one of the most revolutionary, unique and timeless supercar manifacturers in the world. Parts like the engine ventilation intake on sides and such strong characteristics that can be found on the Lamborghini models are all integrated into the design of the new A43 speedboat. The striking exterior lines are as functional as they are eye-catching; the air intakes, the windscreen, shape of the transom and inverted bow all contributing to improve the boat’s aerodynamics.
The interior is decidedly simplistic but has all the necessary elements, including an all-important dedicated Champagne compartment. The cabin is loaded with luxurious textures—think carbon, leather and wood—and comes complete with a dining table, fridge, sink, stove, toilet and sofa with seating for four. There’s also a shower in case that day of cruising turns into night.
The boat offers a big, comfortable lounge seating which can be used as sunbathing area without any exposition. A champagne storage is located on the lounge seating that allows you to keep your champagne bottle cool and ready on board. Down below, the forward passenger cabin is loaded with carbon, leather, wooden details, air conditioning, a dining table, and sofa seating for 4. The yacht’s galley has a sink, refrigerator, and stove. The key element Carbon fibre will also be found in the deck gear and console. Bathroom of the boat comes complete with a shower which makes this concept a glamorous day boat with overnight accomondation. At transom beneath the lid of the stern locker there is enough space for a pair of Seabobs and even a rack that located on top of engine compartment for carrying bikes, surf boards.
Twin modified Lamborghini V12s provide a maximum speed of up to 80 knots/93mph and Caterpillar Three60 Pod Drives ensure a precise and smooth cruising. A lateral bow thruster fitted near the bow to improve manoeuvrability at lower speeds and while docking. Boat is maximising the performance with air entrapment tunnels on sides designed to create aerodynamic lift at speed, With such high speeds in reach, the helm area is designed for occupants to travel fast in comfort.
The company says the A43 is “more than a speed boat, it’s a lifestyle.”
