Singapore’s Sembcorp Marine has secured a series of new contracts to provide engineering solutions for offshore gas and wind farm developments as well as a cruise ship upgrade.

Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters was awarded a contract by a joint venture between Shapoorji Pallonji Oil and Gas and Bumi Armada to convert VLCC Ariake to a FPSO unit for deployment on the east coast of India.

Sembcorp Marine Repairs & Upgrades added new gas projects for the conversion of LNG tanker Dwiputra into a 125,000cbm FSRU for a joint venture between MOL and Karpower International, the conversion of NYK Line’s former gas carrier LNG Flora into a 127,000cbm FSU for Gasfin Development and upgrading works on the 173,400cbm FSRU BW Magna for BW LNG.

Additionally, Sembcorp Marine Repairs & Upgrades also secured the makeover project for Japan’s largest cruise ship, Asuka II, for NYK Cruises.

Lastly, Sembcorp Marine Offshore Platforms landed a contract with Jan De Nul to fabricate 15 jacket foundations for the Formosa 2 Offshore Wind Farm.
