Volga Shipping Company’s three dry cargo carriers converted from Volga-Flot tankers have left for their first commercial voyages upon completion of modernization.

The 5,450 DWT vessels that have undergone conversion are also intended for transportation of general cargo and dry bulk cargo including grain, timber and granulated sulfur.

The conversion works of 138 m tankers into multipurpose dry cargo carriers have been completed in 2019 by Volga Shipping Company’s subsidiary Borremflot (Nizhny Novgorod Region).

The conversion project is of special importance since the mastering of conversion and large-scale modernization of its own fleet enables the company to fulfill similar orders through creation of optimal conditions for the extension of safe and profitable operation of ships.
